I worked with the Girl Scouts of South and Central Jersey to teach Girl Scouts the basics of board game design. There was an article on it in a few local papers. You can read it here!
Or just look at the pretty picture. It went really well. We used a small game to teach them about how computers work, and how algorithms are similar to mechanics in games. I'm looking forward to working with them again in the future to teach more about digital and regular game design.
