Success is exhausting- So thank you!

From a game about shiny rocks to a successfull Kickstarter, we made it! It’s been two weeks since debuting Collectionomics at Pax Unplugged… and I finally have a moment to breathe and tell you how awesome everything has been!
Pax Unplugged
Pax Unplugged was BUSY. We sold tons of copies of Collectionomics and my fiance’ and I both lost our voices from talking so much. I had a blast though; seeing people’s faces light up when they realized they can show off their trinkets while playing a game was a joy.

I also had a lot of fun trading and selling trinkets. For once I managed to leave with fewer shiny things than when I arrived. A miracle!
Shout out to my amazing volunteers. Heidi, Bryan, Sierra, Pia, and Steve; I’d have died from exhaustion without you guys. You’re great workers, better friends, and I love having you all at my booth! You’ve got all the games down pat from Annapurna to Herding Cats!

Speaking of, we had over 100 people sign up to hear more about Herding Cats. So if this is your first newsletter, Welcome! (Beware, you will be bombarded with photos of my cats.)
We’ve been working hard on the game and it has chaged a lot. We’re getting closer to a final design and will resume playtesting right after we recover from the holidays… and shipping.
Shipping Collectionomics
Oh boy. Shipping over 100 orders at once was a lot! It took two days to pack and label everything and then two trips in a truck to get all the packages to the post office! The fights with the printer, wifi router, and shipping application, were all won with minimal casualties (10 sheets of paper and the old wifi router have passed on). Despite the setbacks the first set of orders from the Kickstarter are on their way and I‘m so excited for people to get their games.
I wouldn’t have been able to be at PAX selling Collectionomics or packing up so many orders without all the awesome people who believed in it. So thank you! And thank you to my family for their support, and help packing up all the games while I tried not to murder the printer.
Now there’s just one last thing to say.
Happy Holidays!
I’ll see you guys next year. Stay warm!
