To start with, the game night at Words Matter has been rescheduled to the 30th at the owner's request due to personal reasons. Hopefully it will be cooler by then! For more info check out the previous post here.
And now for the main reason you clicked on the post.
Sometimes you don't know you've F***** up until you're almost done. I was attempting to make a sturdier smooth board to drill holes into for Herding Cats. I figured acrylic would be a great surface for that. I poured acrylic on top after drilling marking holes figuring I'd re-drill through the acrylic after it dried. I've done that before.
However... the cats and cat ladies do not move smoothly on the acrylic.
Why?
????
I HAVE NO CLUE. Maybe this will lessen as it cures more, but if it does not the herding cats playtest this Sunday will have to be canceled until I can redo the board.
If anyone has any idea what's going on, tips on how to drill into cardboard without roughing up the paper, or has knowledge on magnets, please contact me!
The maelstrom playtest will still happen, so if you're interested in that we'd love to have you! There are of course tons of other games from other designers to test as well.
Have a great weekend and stay cool!
