Ying and Yang is a concept from ancient China in which two halves come together to make a whole. The two halves seek balance with each other. In the Himalayas Yin is said to represent the shady side of the mountain, and Yang the sunny side of the mountain. The two halves come together as the mountain itself.
In the Annapurna board game, we use Yin and Yang symbols to let climbers determine if they are maintaining their balance as they summit Annapurna. Game designer Becca Horovitz combined the yin/yang symbol with a recycling symbol to represent the concept of 'leave no trace behind' which is important in being a climber of conscience. #AnnapurnaBoardGame #LeaveNoTraceBehind
